And USC comes in at 10 in the AP and 7th in the Coaches/AP. What in the world are they thinking...
How can most pollsters put them above teams like West Virginia, who lost a tight one on the road at USF? I guess the Big East still has no respect. Above Oregon, who lost a tight one to Cal? Above Virginia Tech... who was blown out... but blown out by the best team in the nation, rather than some winless bottomdweller (and, oh yeah, on the road). Heck, honestly, how are they above Florida State even!?! FSU lost to a decent Clemson team late on the road.
Nebraska has no quality wins (their Nebraska win now looks like total garbage). Idaho and Washington State have a combined 3 wins (over San Diego State, Idaho, and a DI-AA team). Their only decent win is Washington... and they almost choked that one away too.
Undefeated Missouri/Hawaii/Kansas/Cincy/Arizona State come in lower?!?! Other teams with one loss, to top teams, also come in lower (Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin)?
I am literally sick because of the polls. USC has a legitimate shot at the National Championship game... not just an outside shot... a good shot. They'd apparently get in over an undefeated Missouri. ...
BTW, I also see reason to gripe about Texas, Purdue, and Georgia... and even think OU and UF are probably too high. I wonder if MGO has a realistic poll!?!
